Hello Thomas,

I have some categories in my Calendars, some main ones are: Personal, Work, Events.

I copied the URL for category Work, as described in the instructions to sync with Lightning via iCal, and it was all fine.

Then I did the same for calendar Personal, and several problems happen:

1) All events in my calendar are moved to calendar Personal (and then I have to restore from a backup to recover my data in Memotoo)
2) Lightning / Thunderbird shows error "An error occurred when writing to the calendar Personal! / MODIFICATION_FAILED".
3) I check the calendar settings, and for some reason it's read-only. I made it read/write, but the problems continue
4) The event alarm pops-up several times. There's only one alarm. I cancel (Dsimiss) it various times, but it just won't go away.

I can't figure out why this is happening. Ideas?

UPDATE:

The problem happens with iCal and CalDAV.

The events aren't MOVED to the Personal category: the are ADDED to that category. So the show in BOTH categories.

For some reason, it doesn't seem to happen with other calendars. Only the Personal category. I tried with Events and Work categories, started again creating the calendars in a different order, etc.

UPDATE:

I switched to the Funambol plug-in, after I realized that it can handle categories as well. But there's still a problem: events created in Thunderbird are assigned to two categories in Memotoo: to the original category (Work, Events...), AND to the "Personal" category.

So, it seems that Memotoo is adding all events created in Thunderbird also to the "Personal" category. Strange, huh?

And once new events are also asigned to the "Personal" category, that propagates during sync FROM Memotoo TO the other device.

Not good. Problems.

Sorry for the delay of my response...

I think Memotoo add to the "Personal" category because you have defined this one as default:

Hmmm.... OK.

I suppose that I'll just have to remove the "default" category then. Let me try and see what happens.

Michael
