How to sync Memotoo and Android phones?

Hi,

soon I will get the HTC Legend with Android 2.1. Now the question is how to sync Android with Memotoo. As far as I can See there is not a complete solution. Solutions I have found so far are:

1. Sync contacts Memotoo <-> Android with Funambol Android Sync Client
2. Sync contacts between Memotoo <-> GMail <-> Android
3. Sync calendar between Memotoo <-> GoogleCalendar <-> Android
4. Sync contacts, calendar and tasks Memotoo <-> Android with Synthesis plugin

But it seems that on
1) the latest Funambol plugin doesn't run on Android 2.1 and only syncs the contacts
2, 3) Is a 3-way sync which might be complicated and I don't want give all my PIM to Google
4) I didn't find the plugin to download

So has somebody experience in syncing Memotoo and Android? Or how are you proceeding? How to sync tasks and notes?

You have to register here http://www.synthesis.ch but than you have access to the client. "Version 1.7.0.17 (.apk für direkten Download und Installation auf dem Gerät) ist lauffähig unter Android 1.5 .. Android 2.1" which means that it is available for download and installation. You have to use the google account and deactivate the Google synchronization. But then Synchronization of contacts and calendar is possible. Greets Christoph

Google is not involved (as far as I can see). Synchronising contacts works only via google (i.e. contacts from memotoo are synchronised with google and google contacts than with the android phone and vis versa). In my phone (HTC Desire) there is no way to synchronise contacts that are not assigned to an account. And the only account options available are facebook, twitter, etc. and googlemail. I had exactly the same problem with my htc desire / android. i explain how i solved the problem: 1. go to the contacts (people), choose menu and then import/export, choose export to sd card, and then choose your google account. all your google contacts are now stored (exported) in a file. 2. attach your htc to your laptop/computer and transfer the exported contacts (vdf-file) to your computer 3. import all these contacts (vdf-file) into memotoo (import function under adressbook) 4. delete all your google contacts on your mobile. thats quite time consuming - depending on your amount of contacts. i had over 400 contacts and i had to tick every contact but after this: you have a clean phone 5. sync with memotoo and after this you have all your contacts again (in the funambol account, not google anymore). you can sync now diretly... I hope thats what you want. i'm still syncing and hope that this will work after all. btw: i'm not able to sync my calendar entries to memotoo until now. i hope there is a better funambol app soon so i can sync my calendar apps soon

The release notes say, that they solved this in version 1.7.2.2: - workarounds for problems caused by Android calendar bugs Now it works for me. However, 18€ for a syncing app hurt! Regards, Jens
