First part:
When I put a e.g. birthday event in my Nokia E71, it is synced correctly to memotoo as a "all-day-aevent". When I add an "all-day-event" in memotoo, it is synced to my E71 as an event from 0:00 to 23:59. Maybe I searched this forum too long to see an answer right in front of me?!? Although there are several posts I can't find a solution. What do I have to do?

I found the following at the forum of scheduleworld.com: "I've noticed that all day events created by Evolution are not recognized on my Nokia E71 as all day event. The problem is, that Nokia/Symbian uses a non-standard vcalendar-extension "X-EPOCAGENDAENTRYTYPE:EVENT" to mark all day events." Is this pointing to the problem?

Second part:
Assumed that part I can be resolved , how can I flag an memotoo created all-day-event for my E71 as a birthday event?

Ok I have modified Memotoo to have "X-EPOCAGENDAENTRYTYPE:EVENT" with all day event and Nokia Serie60 (Nokia N71, ...)

For the birthday event, I will try to add it in the futur ...

Yeahh, that's it. I added an ALL-DAY-EVENT into my memotoo calender, synced my Nokia E71 ... et Voilá ... I have an ALL-DAY-EVENT in my Nokia E71 calender. Unfortunately the ALL-DAY-EVENT in my Nokia is a NOTICE, but that's much better than these 0:00 to 23:59 events. Maybe there's a chance to combine the type of event with an event category in memotoo?!? In my opinion it would be perfect if we could flag an ALL-DAY-EVENT as a birthday or an appointment. If there's anything I can do or test please let me know.

This is quite an old message and I still feel the same...

It's a pity that we get a notice on Nokia phones for birthdays.

In deed, with Facebook birthdays and other contacts birthdays it is a mess too complicated to clean up.

When can we expect
1) Birthdays be treated as birthdays (not all day events)
2) Facebook birthdays can appear, if we want them to, as birthday appointments on the phone's calendar

Thanks

Doscas

This message is for people at Memotoo notice that this Nokia Birthday issue is a very wanted development!!!!

There must be some congifuration like the one written above that can make memotoo treat birthdays as what they are.
