Hello,

I'm a new user of the memotoo service since 2 weeks. Syncing between memotoo and outlook (and between memotoo and lightning) works. BUT as recomended on the memotoo website I have tried several times to sync my iphone with memotoo using syncJE (1.1.1). SyncJE (Nexhaus) can connect and transfer all the entries from my memotoo calendar to the iphone, but at least all wholeday events are transfered with wrong date and time (like pfingsmonday at 12.12.2007,17:30; the 1st may at 16.1.2008,9:30 and so on). All events with a fixed timeframe (like 10:00 - 12:30) are seeming ok.

My Addresses are shortened/altered as well

What I'm doing wrong or what is the resomended way to sync my iphone

Any help is welcome

After a full resync with the same problems for all "whole day" events (by the way, I controlled some of the events via the web interface) I changed the event "Ostermontag" at 24.3.08 to "Ostermontag TEST" -> result is an entry at 22.11.2007; 8:30

Thanks for your help !!

The problem come from events when they during all day. So can you modify "Ostermontag TEST" on the iPhone to "24.3.08" and during all the day. Sync again and I will see how the plugin send theses informations.
Tell me when you have do this.

after modifying the entry (setting to 24.3.08, whole day) on my iPhone, the event moved to the 15.9.2027: very strange! It seems that syncJE corrupting the calendar database by the way: using syncML2iphone with memotoo has a nearly similar efect. After syncing, the calendar app crashed direct back to springboard
if I sync with scheduleworld everything seems ok (but I have my memotoo account wich I want to use! )

Can you try again, I think I have found the problem

It seem come from event during all day because Memotoo sent "DTSTART:VALUE=DATE:20080128" and not "DTSTART:20080128T010000"

Hurrrrrayyyyy !!!!

a big BIG step forward!

the sync looks far better now ...

now the next issues

it seems that there is a timezone (summertime) problem and a "whole day" too.

On my iphone I have the GMT+1 time for germany (same as my memotoo calendar / timezone). I created an "whole day" event on 5.4.08 on my iphone. After the sync I have an event from 01:00 5.4.08 till 01:00 6.4.08 . If I enter an event 3.4.08 0:00 till 4.4.08 0:00, the result in memotoo after sync is an event 3.4.08 1:00 till 3.4.08 23.59. A normal event (1.4.08 20:00 till 21:00) is moved to 21:00 till 22:00 in memotoo.

in the other direction (memotoo created -> iphone) there is no timeshift from 1 hour, but "whole day" events are changed t0 0:00 till 0:00 (which is bad because the iphone shows the 0:00 starttime the day before in the overview (this is a minor problem after all)).

When I create an event bevore the 28.3./29.3. in memotoo, there is no timeshift on my iphone (28.3.08 23:00 - 29.3.08 23:00 results in 28.3.08 23:00 - 29.3.08 23:59(??) !

Now the question is, on which side is the problem ?

smile Posted 2008-03-24 - 00:34     Subject: Re: sync with iphone creates strange entries in calendar!

Thanks for your fast and really good support in finding a solution for the sync problems with my (and other?) iphones!
I will strongly recommend your WebSite /SyncML Server to all my friends and colleagues for syncing contacts / calendars between different devices because of this ...

Now the sync with syncJE 1.1.1. worked with the calendar (at least for all the events I checked).

For the problem with "whole day" is changed to 0:00 - 0:00 and displayed within the iphone calendar on the day before, I just wrote a small jiggy application witch parsed the calendar database for all 0:00 - 0:00 events and changed the whole_day flag (because of bad support from the syncJE people ). Now, it's a nearly perfect solution.
Is the correction for the DST problem a temporary solution with problems when the time changed back or is the sync now DST aware for all further DST changes (like in autumn) ?

Now I have time for the next step: syncing the contacts with syncJE as well. Here is the working solution now only the funambol application because of incomplete contact entries with syncJE on my iphone. Maybe you can help me with this problem as well? I will start some experiments in the next days ...

merci mille fois

Frank

P.S.: SyncML2iphone worked now at least with the syncML function as well. The "ical Feed Sync" function still crashed ...
