Hi,

There is a loss of the note title when syncing notes back for my Nokia E6 running belle. The notes on the nokia does not have a title so, the first line in the note should be taken as the title i think.

OK try again, normally now the title will be added to the description of the notes (for the Nokia that sync notes to text/plain)

Hi,

I tried it, the result is the same. When i edit a note and sync it back, the tile is lost. You can look to the note "Ikea keuken"


edit 1: After a full resync, the tile is indeed in the note. I will do some more tests.
edit 2: sync from memotoo -> phone, title is added to note. syncing back result in a title loss within memotoo website

To find what is wrong, can you to the same test as edit2 ?
(I will log synchronization to see the syntax)
Tell me when you have done this ?

Hi Thomas,

I created through the website a note with the title test. Synced it with my phone, edit the note and synced back. After that, the title is lost. Hopefully you can see something in the logs

I created a test2 note, synced a couple of time to the phone and back. All looks fine now. I will test this a couple of days and post the results.

Hi Thomas,

As i told in my previous post, the problem for syncing with my nokia E6 is solved. Thanks a lot for that. Looking further in to syncing notes stuff i came to this conclusion: More applications that uses syncml as syncing mechanisnm are using the first line as a title. I have seen this after research in outlook and taskcoach. Syncing to/from taskcoach result in losing the title field. So keeping a separate title field in the webinterface (and maybe backend) result in putting the title as a first line in the note for a lot of apps/phone and removing this when syncing back. Tell me when you sync information from taskcoach or outlook

I do not undestand because I have tested with TaskCoach and the title is keeped ...
For Outlook, same thing the title is synced with Memotoo.

1. I can confirm that its in the new version of taskcoach. 1.3.8 works fine, 1.3.9 is losing the note titles.
2. I am using outlook 2010. Which i have tested again, and it losing the note title
