When I update a contact in my Memotoo account, for which sync with my Google accounts are defined, it creates a new entry in Google Contacts with the updated information and the old version is not deleted.
Note that I want to maintain Memotoo as my clean gold source for contacts so only unidirectional syncs are defined, with Memotoo as the master.

Should I do something special to stop this behavior?

Very strange, can you reproduce this problem every time ?
Can you give a example in your account ?

Just did an update: removed an entry and re-created it (Brian Lowery), still have the old one on my Google account. On another entry (Jeff Liedel), updated the title and the office phone, and it created a new one in Google and the old version is still in place. It happens each and every time.

By the way. Tried a dummy entry, update works as expected (entry in Google contacts is updated accordingly without creating a dup), but deletion does nothing on the Google Contacts side.

I have a theory on the dup on update. I may have had two similar entries that were not distinguishable (that were initially created by migration processes); when memotoo sends an update, only one of these is updated leaving the other one behind, creating a appearance of a dup. That's the only way I can explain the phenomenon right now... For deletion, seems that is another matter.
