Organization names and syncing with TB

In Thunderbird's address book, for businesses that I don't have a contact at, I just put in a work phone number and an organization name. This sync's to Memotoo just fine.

However, when I go to the Memotoo web site and make changes to the contact's group, when I synchronize Thunderbird, the contact has a last name auto-populated in it on the memotoo web site. On memotoo, when I try to delete this last name, I get an error saying "Last name can't be blank." But, I saw another post on this forum where someone was complaining about that rule and Thomas said he removed that rule.

If in Thunderbird I go to the contact and delete the last name (as well as a display name that has been auto-populated) and then sync again, the last name and display name stay removed from Thunderbird just fine.

I'd like to see the auto-populating of the last name go away. I don't know if the display name should stop being auto-populated or not. Someone with more familiarity than I should make that decision.

And, if after creating the contact in Gmail, but before syncing it, I add the contact to a group, then the contact only shows up on memotoo in the Group, it doesn't show up in what memotoo seems to call [top]. Since the contact on Gmail shows up in its My Contacts, you'd think it would show up in memotoo's top.
