Tomboy is a popular GTK-based note taking app for Gnome. It can be synced using a Webdav or SSH server.

I believe that Tomboy would be a great addition to Memotoo.com, if for no other reason then that there is a lack of available depositories for Tomboy.

Thanks!

I'm glad to know that you'll consider it!

There is a Win32 port of Tomboy in the works, but it was far from being ready, the last time I tried it.

Hello,
for Linux i use Basket ( http://basket.kde.org/index.php). It´s a very nice App for notes. A syncronization between memotoo and Basket would be great.

This App will be ported to QT4 (KDE4) and then it runs under Windows. Look at this link -> http://basket.kde.org/roadmap.php -> "Available for Windows and Mac OS X,..."

best wishes
Andi

Hello

Andi, Basket looks like great but there is no sync menu in this software, so Memotoo can't sync with it ....

Rogun, I have tried to install the sync in Tomboy on Ubuntu 8 ( http://www.economysizegeek.com/2007/09/22/tomboy-upgrade/) but I have this error when I try to save Sync Prefs: "The keyring daemon is not available"
I have selected "Wdfs FUSE" and I put " https://www.memotoo.com/webFolder" in "URL". Have you the same error ???

Well, I followed the instructions for setting up wdfs in your link and it worked fine for me. And by following your link to the memotoo.com webdav share, I can even see my notes.

It did ask me to enter the password for my default keyring before connecting, btw. I should also note that I'm using Ubuntu 7.10, Tomboy 0.8, and running Tomboy in KDE, rather then Gnome.

Have you verified that gnome-keyring-d is running before starting the sync?
