CardDAV sync timed out on MacOS and native Mac Address bookRSS Feed

I have been receiving the following error

since upgrading to MacOS 10.12.4. I have been able to repeat this consistently on two separate Macs (Macbook Air and iMac). The result is:

1 - not all addresses are synching to my Macs
2 - none of the groups that show up in Memotoo are synching to my Macs. Previously, all groups synchronized perfectly.

Appreciate help on this.

Still unable to synch ... keeps timing out.

MacOS 10.12.4 ... happening on both my late-2015 iMac and early-2015 Macbook Air.

What was the solution to this problem? I seem to be having the same one since migrating to an iMAC running OSX 10.12.6
