An observation that may be useful for others:

It is possible to attach a photo to each address card. I have tested GIF, JPG and PNG. All works fine. Syncing with a Sony Ericsson c702 phone works fine too the first time, i.e. the photos are transferred to the phone where they will be displayed when a person calls (nice feature). However, the following sync will fail if one of the contacts has a GIF image attached. Using JPG and PNG works fine.

Your observation was indeed usefull.

I've been having problems synchronizing my Memotoo contacts for a while now, see https://www.memotoo.com/forum/msg-4-2993-Problems-syncing-Nokia-E65.html

After reading your post I replaced all my contact photos in GIF format with photos in PNG format. Now synchronizing works flawlessly again.
