I use calendar events to set alarms - wakeup calls, medicine reminders, etc.

If I want my phone to alert me at 9:30, I know I can set it for 9:35 and put a 5-minute reminder on it, but it would be so much more direct to simply set the item for 9:30 and put a reminder for 0 minutes on it.
